Read and Illustrate a Christmas Story
This afternoon, we’ll take turns reading a Christmas or Holiday-Adjacent story aloud. Then, sitting down with our sketchbooks and whichever media most appeals, we’ll illustrate a scene or an overall pastiche of the narrative.
We’re asking our eldest to choose the story this year. Will it be Tolstoy? Lucy Maud Montgomery? Dickens? Leacock?
If you’re having difficulty choosing a story, American Literature has a fairly vast array of Christmas and Christmas-adjacent stories and poems from an international list of authors.
