BOW SEW
Today, we’re all focusing on one of our passions. Some of us will draw. Some of us will tackle cryptic crosswords (or keep studying for exams). And some of us will sew.
In fact, I’ll be pulling a one-for-you, one-for-me, and sewing up the Small Museum Bow Bag, twice. A sewing-group-friend was a tester for this pattern, and her make was incredible. So, less than 24 hours after its official release, I ordered a copy of the Bow Bag Pattern for myself. [Honestly, you should, too!]
Continuing with our efforts to upcycle during SSJ Advent 2025, I’ll be using some black corduroy [main fabric] and pinky-red bridal satin [lining] that have been sitting in my cupboard for ages to make myself a bag. I’ll also thrift some fabric at my local ValueVillage to make second version for a special someone in my life. [Actually, I did that last night on my Santa Photo Shoot!] Results to follow, naturally!
If you liked this post, you’ll undoubtedly like last year’s pattern-sewing adventures! We made the Spaghetti Western Sewing Pearl Head Scarf and put our own spin on the Ruby Star Society Flurry Santa Hat. Aren’t they gorgeous?
