Advent Day 2: Design Bookplates

Design your own Bookplate!
Today’s Advent TBD is a MAJOR THROWBACK to our very first online Advent Calendar in 2011 [Handmade Holidays: Bookplates for Children] ! The kids were too young to get involved, and we wanted the bookplates to be surprises. So, Blaise sketched bookplates. I scanned them, added text with photo-editing software, and printed them on sticky-backed paper we found at the dollar store.
Today, everyone is designing their own bookplate.
Whether they want a design specific to the holidays or a favourite theme is up to them. We’ll either use tablets or sketch-and-scan our images. Then, we’ll print them on a few more sheets of our sticky-backed paper from the dollar store circa 2011. Though Avery labels 6462 printed 90-degrees or portrait-style still work just as well.
