My jewelry preferences veer towards dangly gold-tone earrings and the occasional voluminous right hand ring. And, I found plenty of gorgeous pieces to suit at the Spring One of a Kind Show and Sale, on now until April 1, 2018, at the Enercare Centre at Exhibition Place in Toronto. Here are my golden crushes from three amazing designers at #OOAKS18 (at three different price points). Plus, I found an amazing Sea Buckthorn Elixir at the show to take home for a post-#ooaks18 cocktail I’ve dubbed “The Golden Dangler.”
PurSuits Svelte Earrings 
Budget friendly #OOAKS18-newcomer PurSuits has some lovely pieces with a golden glow, and gorgeous black matte bijoux, too. BONUS: They offer a sweet discount of 5% if you buy more than one of their designs. Now, when I find a style I like, I stick with it. Biko Ameoba Ring Stud Earrings and Amoeba Ring
I first discovered Biko at an amazing local boutique, Collected Joy, where I immediately fell in love with their Solar Wave Studs. Of course, their booth at #OOAKS18 is making waves and so much more. The pieces that blew me away were the Amoeba Ring Stud Earrings and the Oval Amoeba Ring in Gold. (Amoeba Earrings, $70, Amoeba Ring $55, Biko, Booth H44)
Michelle Ross Onie Earrings
Michelle Ross has been selling her gorgeous pieces at the One of a Kind Show and Sale for several years. Her vintage inspired designs have always been to die for. I’m super fond of the bright hammered Olav earrings. But, my pick for anytime, anywhere pieces are her gorgeous Onie earrings, which will go from casual to dressy in a flash. Wellington Made’s Sea Buckthorn Elixer Libation and an #Ooaks18 Inspired Cocktail
Of course, one of the new features of the Spring 2018 Show is its special Craft Drinks section, featuring both cocktails and non-alcholic beverages. While Wellington Made isn’t in the Craft Drinks section, per se, after sampling their amazing Sea Buckthorn Elixer Libation, I swept up a bottle and took it home to create a Golden #OOAKS18-Inspired Cocktail! Here’s my #OOAKS18 Inspired Cocktail: The Golden Dangler, a Rye and Sea Buckthorn Sour
The Golden Dangler, A Rye and Sea Buckthorn Sour
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz Rye Whisky [I love Kinsip Crimson Rye]
- 1.25 oz Sea Buckthorn Elixer Libation or Sea Buckthorn Syrup
- 1 oz Lemon Juice
- 1 egg white
- a handful of ice cubes
Instructions
- Place the the whisky, sea buckthorn elixir, lemon juice and ice in a cocktail shaker.
- Shake until well combined.
- Add the egg white.
- Shake well until fluffy and foamy.
- Strain into a gorgeous glass.
