GET OUT THE TOP HAT
Today, we’re putting names in a hat and setting each other on the task to choose a used book (we’re calling them “vintage”) for a family member. On our own or in groups of two, we’ll scour our city’s best used book stores for a winner. This year, these books will go under the tree, and we’ll open them on Christmas Eve, in case anyone wants to read late into the evening.
We’ll also be supporting the community by making a contribution to the Children’s Book Bank. The CBB provides free books and literacy support to children across Toronto, supporting equal access to books for all children while improving literacy rates and socioeconomic outcomes. Learn more about them, here.
Check out the Winter Bookstore Watercolours we made last year after a local bookstore crawl!
